Inflatable proposal critique

My "Pyramids" inflatable proposal was partly what we chose. We decided that I needed a more detailed models for them and we decided to combine a space ship and the pyramids into one project.

Mapping and Mapping Crit

My mapping project was built around the ancient historical and cultural inspirations behind my artwork. I created sculptures of 3 of the ancient wonders of the world; the Colossus of Rhodes, the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, and the Pyramids of Giza, as well as Stonehenge. I placed these sculptures on a stand in order of most influential/interesting to me to least.

Things talked about in the crit that i could have improved on was the paper pulling off of the cardboard where I slid it down the stand. However they liked the fact that it gives the illusion of a heavier piece when in actuality it is only made from wood, cardboard and styrofoam. Also in the critique Kathy pointed out to the class that i look like a young Van Gogh.

color project critique

For my color project I chose an image of movie theater seating. For the paint search portion I used warn colors and for the second and third I used cool colors. My third project was my least successful and is what caused my grade to be lower. My frames didn't help my piece but set it apart from the other frames.

Body Part Photo's

My pain is constant and sharp and I do not hope for a better world for anyone, in fact i want my pain to be inflicted on others.

When the earth dies, where will you lie.

Remenants of primitivity

My roots give me life.

I see you, but you dont see me.

Poem for Lecture

Creepy cats lurk silently outside.

Broken glass sliced tender feet.

Dusty skulls looked toward everyone.

Color Project Picture

Above is the picture i plan to use for the color project. The repetitive colors and creepy look made this picture stand out to me.
